How Do the Photo Buttons Work?
AmpliDECT 295 systems, both the base and handset versions, are equipped with photo speed dial buttons that allow you to contact your loved ones at the touch of a button. You can use this easy-to-use template to upload your own pictures, and then print them out in the right size for the photo phone buttons.
Please note that for base and handset combination sets, the memory buttons on the handset will retrieve the same set of direct memory speed dial entries stored in the base.
How Do I Apply the Photos?
The photo buttons can be flipped up, at which point you can easily insert the photos that you have cut to size. The diagram below shows the process of placing your photos into the photo buttons.
How Do I Pair the Additional Handset with My AmpliDECT 295?
Once charged, you can register the additional handset by following these steps:

What Happens If I Have Issues with Pairing My Handset?
Should you have any trouble connecting your handset to your AmpliDECT 295 Telephone, the video below can help resolve those issues.
How Loud Is This Handset?
As the AmpliDECT 295 has an adjustable receiver volume of up to 30dB, you won't have to worry about not being able to hear phone conversations. This will be particularly useful if you often find yourself straining to hear phone calls. The ringing volume of this handset can be turned all the way up to 75dB.
Can I Use This Handset as a Standalone Phone?
The AmpliDECT 295 can only be used as an additional handset to the Geemarc AmpliDECT 295 Photo Amplified Cordless Telephone. This main 295 phone can be paired with up to four additional handsets, which is ideal for anyone who struggles to get to the phone in time to answer the call.
If you don't yet have the Geemarc AmpliDECT 295 Phone, we recommend the Geemarc AmpliDECT 295 Photo Amplified Cordless Telephone or the Geemarc AmpliDECT 295 Photo Amplified Cordless Telephone Photo Pack, which includes the Geemarc AmpliDECT 295 Photo Amplified Cordless Telephone and one Additional Photo Handset.
What Are Photo Memory Buttons?
The handset features four photo memory buttons that can be programmed with emergency numbers and your most-used contacts, allowing you to reach them quickly and easily. The large photos or pictures provide a visual aid to help you identify the contact.
This is ideal if you struggle to use a regular phone, if you suffer from a visual impairment, or if you have reduced dexterity. You can use this easy-to-use template to upload you own pictures, and then print them out in the right size for the photo phone buttons.
Does the Phone Light Up When Receiving a Call?
When an incoming call is detected, the red LED light at the top of each handset will illuminate. This light brightly and steadily flashes, clearly signifying that a call is on the line.
Is This Handset Easy to Use?
To answer a call, the user is required to press the green button, which can be a bit overwhelming for those who are not used to answering the phone in this manner. If you're looking for an easier way to use a cordless handset, we recommend this extra handset, which allows the user to answer a call by simply picking up the handset from the charging cradle.
Can I Set A Distinct Ring for Each Caller?
Yes, you can set a different ring for each caller in your phonebook, allowing the user to easily identify the caller from the ring alone. Each AmpliDECT 295 handset features five standard rings and five polyphonic rings, while the base itself features five standard rings. This provides plenty of room for customisation to ensure important numbers can have a distinct ring.
Is This Handset Suitable for Emergencies?
The photo handset comes equipped with an SOS button that allows you to call for help at a moment's notice. This is perfect if you suffer from falls in the home.
How Is the Extra Handset Powered?
The charging cradle needs to be connected to a mains via the power adaptor included with this purchase. The handset comes with a rechargeable battery pack. The battery will last for two days on standby, and allows for eight hours of continuous talk time.
