What Is The Signolux Tower Doorbell System and Vibrating Pad?
Made up of three parts - a Signolux bellpush, a Signolux Tower receiver, and a vibrating pad/pager, the Signolux Tower System works as an assistive device for hearing impaired users at home to be notified when the doorbell rings. The system is also capable of notifying the hearing impaired or deaf user of other domestic events, making it a valuable addition for the home.
How Does This Doorbell for the Hard of Hearing Work?
Easy to program, the bell push included in this set simply pairs up with the Signolux Tower receiver. Once the doorbell push button is pressed, a radio signal is transmitted to the receiver which in turn displays the received signal audibly and visually with sounds and flashing lights.
What Other Domestic Events Can The System Notify The Deaf User?
On the Signolux Tower you'll find an LED display of event icons which light up in a colour once an event has taken place. As well as doorbell notification, the system can also alert the hearing impaired user of the following domestic events including:
- Telephone (Orange)
- Person Call (Yellow)
- Baby (White)
- Fire Alarm (Red)
- Flood Alarm (Blue)
- Alarm (Red)
Please Note: In order for the system to be able to notify of the events listed above, a separate transmitter (e.g. a telephone transmitter or a baby monitor audio transmitter) must be connected to the Signolux Tower receiver for each event. Information on pairing-up should be found in the user manual of the according transmitter. Up to 8 transmitters can be assigned to each event icon, for more information on this please see the manual for this product too.
You may find compatible transmitters by viewing the Signolux Transmitters range by Humantechnik.
Sixteen Tone Sequences and Melodies
For acoustic alerting the Signolux Tower receiver provides a choice of 16 tone sequences or melodies which can be individually assigned to the respective events. The device can generate sounds of up to a very high 95 dB for those who require extra-loud functionality, however for those who do not, please be sure to use a low volume setting to begin and adjust accordingly, in order to protect your hearing.
Doorbell with Vibrating Pager
Along with the sounds and flashing lights, hearing impaired users have access to a vibrating pager/pad for even more convenient notification of domestic events. The vibrating pad can simply be placed under the user's pillow or mattress sheet and they will be alerted by strong vibration patterns. Adding to its convenience, the pad is un-powered and wireless, meaning no irritating wires are in the way when trying to get a goodnight's sleep.
